Unbelievable website from Toyota.
A very eye-catching and interesting way to express Toyota’s beliefs and culture to the world.
I especially like how they explained Toyota’s empowerment of employees on the assembly line. (Click on the “rope” to find out).
My only critique is that it could be made to be a little more bandwidth friendly. Even on a 3mbps DSL connection, it takes slightly too long to load for my liking.

Nearing the end of every year, San Franciscans are greeted with the cold, wet, rainy weather. This year was no different.
That is fine though. Having rain 24 hours a day and 7 days a week is not the problem.
The problem is that my car’s windshield wipers always seem to be either too slow or too fast. I’m not sure about other cars, but the wipers on my car are never at a suitable speed!
I am given three options for speed setting: Too Slow, Too Fast, and So-Fast-It-Seems-As-If-It’s-Flying-Off.
Honestly, does anybody ever use the fastest speed setting?
Why can’t Honda give me a dial that allows me to determine the windshield wipers’ speed in smaller increments?

I must admit that I was not all too surprised when I saw the news regarding cookie-scented ads in San Francisco bus-stops.
After all, it has been ages since scented-strips were used as marketing tools in magazines.
The interesting thing is that this marketing campaign is actually part of the popular Got Milk? campaign by the California Milk Processor Board.
The idea is that people who get a good whiff of cookies would develop a craving for milk.
For some reason, cookies and milk just does not appeal to me.
Cookies by itself = yum.
Milk by itself = yum.
Cookies + Milk = Hmmm?
Apparently I’m not the only one who feels that way, I asked many of my friends from south east asian countries and they seem to agree. We just simply do not get the association between the two items!
Unfortunately, the SF Municipal Transportation Agency canceled the cookie-scented ads from bus stops after complaints (ranging from allergies to plain old say-no-to-commercialism) came in.
I would’ve loved to “try” the cookies if only to see if I would get a craving for milk.
